Terms & Conditions
As a brand, we are aware how technical and monotonous terms and conditions of use relating to a website/product can get. For this, we’d like to apologise up front however, this is an essential aspect of business and we’ll do our best to help you understand them.
The terms and conditions stated below apply to the use of The Woven Arts website. By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
About Rugs
- The samples/ images of rugs shown on our site are intended to give a general impression of the colour and pattern. Given the natural/handmade nature of our product and the involvement of organic processes like dyeing, we expect to see minor variations in colour and shade.
- All sizes are approximate and may vary by a small margin of 2% - 3% (+/-).
- The rugs we make are created using natural fibers some of which tend to be lustrous in nature. Often, this can create the illusion that the colours are changing when viewed from different directions. We refer to this as flattening of the pile or shading however, this is a random occurrence and must not be considered as a flaw in the rug itself. Some of the common causes of this phenomena are when a rug is exposed to areas which have high foot fall or traffic that make a carpet prone to such changes in appearance. The sides of the pile appear as a slightly different shade in colour to the ends and any change in angle or direction of the pile may change the apparent colour of the rug. Further, this may not be a consistent change observed across the entire rug if certain sections of the carpet are not as exposed to heavy traffic as other areas.
- Please note, there will be a degree of shedding and fluffing of the pile during the first few months. This is a completely natural experience when you buy a handmade rug and must not to be considered as an inherent flaw in production.
- We’d like to point out that rugs with delicate abarash/shading are prone to gradual soiling as a result of everyday use. This could make a carpet appear as though it’s losing its original colours.
- For care and maintenance of your rug, please refer to the information provided by us on our product labels.
